The yearly check is one owner walk-through of every Viking appliance in the kitchen, taken in a fixed order and limited to looking, cleaning, settings and breakers.

Edmonds kitchens often hold a Viking range, refrigerator and dishwasher bought together, and a single morning a year catches the slow faults in all of them before a holiday does.
| What you are looking at | Normal | Watch | Call |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oven | Thermometer average close to the setting; gasket whole; racks slide | A steady gap at two settings, or a frayed gasket | No two readings agree, or the door will not seal |
| Cooktop burners | Caps sit flat and every burner lights | Uneven flame on one burner after cleaning | A burner that clicks and will not light, or any gas smell |
| Refrigerator | Coils clean, gaskets pass the paper test, filter in date | Dusty coils or one loose corner of the seal | Warm compartment with clean coils and a good seal |
| Dishwasher | Filters clean, arms spin, glasses clear | Grit or spots that need a setting change | Standing water, a leak, or a cycle that will not start |
Put a thermometer on the centre rack, set 350°F and average several heating cycles, then repeat at a second setting, as the oven calibration entry sets out. While it cycles, look at the door gasket without cleaning, wetting or moving it, which Viking’s guide forbids, and slide each rack in and out.
Seat each burner cap flat and light every burner in turn. Anything that clicks without lighting goes to a visit.
Vacuum the condenser coils if they show dust, run the paper test round both door gaskets, and check the date on the water filter; the Condenser coils, Door gaskets and Water filter entries cover each step.
Brush the filters, check each spray arm spins and its holes are open, and look at a glass for spots or a blue trace, as the Filters and spray arms and Rinse aid entries describe.
A steady oven gap at both settings is an adjustment for the oven repair technician, and what an oven calibration visit costs has its own page. Anything in the Call column needs a visit.
A call to Viking Appliance Repair Edmonds reaches a person at any hour; the booking page lets you choose a visit window yourself, and a technician rings to confirm the appliance before the day. The diagnosis is a flat $89, deducted from any repair you approve.
